See, there are many player and the guilds are raiding MC. Its not like the old days. Everyone is more experienced and knows what to do and need for the next content.
And now, many people are farming herbs especially Black Lotus and store them in their banks. Waiting for the next content to sell them, step by step or use them for flasks to win the race.

Its a normal spawnrate.
What you dont really see is, that there are people who know every spot and have their timer for this respawn.
If you have time for this, you can see it when you random see a spawn of a lotus and then set your timer. Someone looted it. And when the timer expires, its often the same person again.
It sounds crazy, but with about 7k active player and up to 9k - its just overwhelming

Let's assume that you're right and the spaw is normal (I do not think so but ..), we are one server to well above the normal population, as it was necessary to have a "spawn dynamic" so that people could do quests something has to be done about the erbs , imagine a non erbalist player that will have to farm 600 gold a week to raid? (3 raids a week for 2 flaks raid is this that is).

Spawns are normal. Considering the number of people on server + BWL not yet, very likely a lot of the herbalists/alchemists banking their goods until they're really needed w/ BWL's release. Maximizing actual profits than if they were selling them now.
