This private server strives (and has thrived) to be the most authentically vanilla server as possible. What makes you think they wouldn't hold vanilla patch notes and code as gospel? The devs wanted this experience, spent 5+ years developing it, and maintaining it, ALL WITHOUT GETTING PAID. No wonder they don't respond to ludicrous suggestions.

There's your answer. It's as simple as that. The devs at Nos owe you nothing. We, as players not paying a fucking dime, or contributing in any way, shape or form, don't get a say.

Sorry to bring back an old thread...just wanted to share some thoughts.

I would absolutely support a dual spec feature. This is a feature that Blizzard, eventually, implemented into retail because they received quite a large amount of feedback/support from the community asking for it. Original players of retail Vanilla made countless threads on the official Blizzard forums asking for this feature, not unlike some of the threads popping up here. This isn't something that Blizzard just magically put into Wrath...they read about it for 5 years.

In regards to inflation and the economy...I would argue that the implementation of daily quests, guild banks and guild rank/perks are what finally put the nail into that coffin in retail. I remember running 25 dailies in retail, taking maybe three hours, and being 300g richer after turn ins and vendoring mob trash loot. 300g! So...in that sense...say Blizzard never did implement a dual spec feature...no problem. Just run your dailies once and have re-spec costs for the entire week covered.

But in "vanilla" we didn't/don't have that luxury. I was 19/20 back during original retail vanilla...now I'm 30 with kids and a family. I'm not sure how many folks here fall into this demographic...but I know for me personally...I simply don't have anywhere near the time to play video games as I used to. In this sense...adding a quality-of-life feature such as dual spec would, in my most humble of opinions, enhance the vanilla experience, not degrade it.

And I know...I could easily go play on another server with 12x rates...problem solved. But I play here because of the higher population (makes the game a much better experience) and because the development is TOP NOTCH. This is the ONLY 1.12 server out there right now with properly scripted events/mobs, and it's downright awesome and a privilege to play here. Kudos!!

OP is hilarious. "Derp, I want this Blizzlike Vanilla server to be completely non-Blizzlike and non-Vanilla because it doesn't suit my needs!" Would you like a magical pony and some ice cream while you're at it?

This server hasn't been blizzlike since launch. Fix all the shit that isn't before you start complaining about deviating from it.

Not really. Bugs and close-to scripting are one thing, but Nostalrius outright has policies that are completely contrary to Blizzard ones, such as the multiboxing ban. It's very hypocritical to claim anything about being blizzlike with that still in place.

Really, multiboxing - that's your complaint? STFU. It's always the people trying to pull some shady shit that are bitching the loudest.

For the record if they didn't try to stop multiboxing, people would do it to a ridiculous extent because unlike real vanilla retail, you can make unlimited FREE accounts on Nost.

multiboxing? thats a terrible argument. if anything, it's a great policy that preserve the server economy for the best. The reasons blizzard didnt ban it are:

1. The make money from more subscriptions.
2. It simply wasnt common in vanilla. Heck, I had never even heard of it before cataclysm. NOONE multiboxed in vanilla. Like 1 in a million.
