Suggestions to dealing with the high-pop

by symer » Fri Aug 14, 2015 12:15 pm

I am getting tired of the over popluated low level areas and I am guessing I am not alone.

So far i have been trying to play in the morning but still i around 06am-10am UTC+1 and it works fine but i like to play in the evenings aswell.

Im and alliance level 24 and i wonder:
-Are this extreme numbers of players in low level zones just temporary?
-Does it get better with the higher level you reach?
-What is worse Horde or Ally?
-What areas would you suggest to level
- 25-30
- 30-35
- 35-40

Thanks for every answer, i made another thread in the suggestions-part of the forum requesting another server!

Well, my experiences have been the opposite of manabar's. Maybe the alliance are just shit. I'm in a social guild, met a lot of nice people, and have had a lot of fun. Yes the beginning areas are much more populated and it does tend to wind down a bit. Also, more people there are though, the more dungeon groups there are as well.

Playing from SEA, and I'd say, from 8 AM SGT - 9 PM SGT, its rather desolate, lag/delay-free.. :) Kinda happy, for once SEA players don't have to deal with these bs

Yeah, the level 1-10 zones are crammed with people. Some zones however, like Loch Modan, are really empty.

But in general, the level 1-30 zones are really crowded, and from there, it just gets less and less crowded the higher level you get. With the exception of STV, which is crammed 24/7 with gank-happy horde. Should rename the place to "Undead-Rogue-Ganklethorn Vale", ffs.

Just from reading these forums my guess is that you might get the following types of replies:

Horde player: Alliance ganks more, they're scum who live in their mom's basement and gets their fun from constantly ganking lowbies, and they never do it unless they're in a group because they're a bunch of losers.

Or something along those lines.

Not been a lowbie for a while, but I'd suggest to level in places/areas most people just don't go to. Like don't follow the first levelling guide you find by googling, because seems like tons of people do that.

I like the hi pop on this server. It makes it easy to party with people. And most of the toons are quite friendly compared to retail :)

I fail to understand the "there's too many people in the game! =(" complaint.

It's an mmo which by natures implies you will be playing with others and working together. If this is an issue for you, why wouldn't you play a single player game?

This particular mmo really high fives you for grouping up: you are much more resistant to ganks, enemies are less dangerous, and the obvious one is you make friends and enjoy each other's company. Working together feels great here.

Logically, the less players there are the less of an mmo experience you will get, and the more of a single player experience you'd receive. Fuck that. Instead of bitching about a lot of people on an mmo, which to most means heaven, you should reconsider why you're playing an mmo. This game is all about the journey and fun you have along the way and if you're one of those people who refuse to group then you're really missing out.
