Prospecting future

Hello everyone!

I'm writing this post openly in order to show you my huge interest in this server. According to the numbers, you have broken all the expectation showing how a private server can be quite close to the retail one. You have created a mix of components that have allowed this server to grow properly. However, I'd like to give my own opinion about what I'm currently seeing:

1- The idea of creating a TBC server.

At this point, I want to say that Vanilla was awesome, and I think that that's a thing that you should not change. Creating a BC server would divide the amount of people and yes, it would give us more stability, but that will break the strength that this community has. I mean, now you can feel that while you are playing. Going here and there seeing people all over is something that makes me feel better here than in the retail World of Warcraft. Besides, preserving this within the old continents (Azeroth) is something great.

BUT, I think that the idea of creating a TBC server would split the people. Some of the people will go to the TBC server, and the others will stay. But what won't happen again is having all these people walking around, leveling, chatting, bidding etc. The community is huge, preserve that.

Solution: I think that maybe we should stay with Vanilla and if the future shows the need, you could add the expansion to the main server, but try not to split this awesome community, because seeing numbers like 6k of people when you press /who is still amazing.

2- Not all the changes were bad.

I agree saying that World of Warcraft turned worse when they released some of their expansions. Now the content is easy, boring and not audacious at all. However, there are some spots and things that have given a better movement around the world.
- I don't think that adding a ship to SW from Darnassus was a bad idea, even I agree about having it there.
- Things like trying to balance classes in pvp with the current stats and talents would be good. However, I don't know how deep can manage to change that.
- Having a hairdresser in order to change your character is really usefull.
- Bringing the new graphics to the Vanilla also would be extremely awesome.

Solution: If you are able to change that specific things that Vanilla didn't have because it was pretty old, make them. Ask the community in open polls and see if you are really capable of changing those things.

For now that's it... If I think about some improvements I'll say it here.

Hope this could help!

You cannot add things into the game that are not in the 1.12.1 client. Extra boats, hairdresser, and new graphics are in that category and literally impossible. These things can only be done by moving to the client used for the expansion in which they were added, which would mean opening a later xpac server.

I'm not going to pick all the things wrong with your post because there is just way too much, but I will focus on one point...

How the fuck would they make a boat from Darnassus to Stormwind when Stormwimd didn't even have a harbor until Wrath of the Lich King?

Nope, you have to create a custom patch (1 .MPQ) with these modifications and the users will have to download it and put it in the Data folder (no later xpac server needed)...

While i don't see the need for extra boats (this could be complicated anyways), I really would like to have the hairdresser, new graphics, improved UI (these are quite easy to patch).

I'm sorry if my suggestions seemed quite impossible. I was trying to provide different points of view. I don't know the limitations of a developer. However, thanks for the responses because I know different kind of opinions. If I know something different to do I'll say!
