PVE server?

Would it be possible to make up a PVE server and let those of use who want nothing to do with PVP go join it?

i am tired of the opposite faction coming in, killing flight masters, killing Quest-handin NPCs.. of being ganked in the middle of a bad pull because someone is too gutless to attack with even a slightest shred of honour.

I have wasted so much time I could have been having fun waiting for respawns or running back to my body...

There's a nice, well-rounded section of the forums called "Announcements."

In this "Announcements" section, the staff makes, um, "announcements" about their future plans for the server.

There are two really, really, really active threads there, always bumped to the top of the forum, one with over 1,600 replies and another with over 400 replies, that talk, at great length, about the very thing you suggest.

You might, just might, want to give them a read.

Going to answer the OP without all the snark the rest of the people are putting in their posts:

On August the 23rd, a testrun of a PvE server was done, with a short message saying to expect an announcement the next weekend

On August the 30th, an announcement was made that they considered the testrun a success and that an upcoming announcement with more info would be coming in a few weeks.

"A few weeks" is a loose term, and we cannot know for sure when we are going to hear more about it.
I find it likely that we will hear more this coming Sunday, but the truth is that it could still be a couple of weeks.

As far as I've read they do not plan to allow character transfers from the PvP server.
They do plan to have a server cap of 2500 players, but people have been speculating that it might be changed if need be. As far as I've understood, they plan to release the server from the beginning, just like the PvP server was at release.

I know that a lot of people have been speculating on when exactly a PvE server announcement is coming, and I know that a popular theory is this sunday (which I believe aswell) but as far as I know, there haven't been anything official and anything specific is guesswork. But please do enlighten me if I'm wrong. (I'd love to be wrong about this).

Given the fact that they'll need til coming weekend to fix Nefarion, I highly doubt they'll give us anything big. Just another bit of information to keep pve-hype alive.

I like you. Your remind me of a young me when I first started posting here helping people. But after a couple of months, you get tired of answering the same questions over and over and over again.
