As Nostalrius has stated that their intention is to be as close to the classic game as possible, they would never do this. Even in the game today, they have not removed crafting times, only made them faster. To do something that even Blizzard themselves has never done would not make sense, and it would likely make a lot of people very upset. I have never minded crafting times, in fact, I find them immersive. Although not entirely realistic, as crafting items would take a great deal longer than is shown, it nevertheless helps to make it feel like you are making something. I do not mind several seconds wait, as I like to slow down and enjoy the game. I have never understood why people in games are so impatient. I can understand it in certain situations, such as if you are preparing to enter a dungeon and you are eager to get started. With many other things, however, such as accepting quests without reading them and rushing through your objectives, I see as unnecessary. Why hurry through the game instead of taking your time to have fun and enjoy yourself? Is that not what games are for?

This server and game gets flamed all over the boards and chat and no one has the balls to change anything.
It has always been my opinion that simple, meaningful things that add time and realism to the game, such as crafting times, weapon skills, and hunter pet happiness,
is the essence of vanilla WoW. One of the many reasons people come here is to experience that, and to relive the past. For people who enjoyed the original game, that is very appealing to them, and they want to come here knowing what to expect. If Nostalrius were to make a change inconsistent with their "blizzlike" philosophy it would undoubtedly upset many people, perhaps going so far as to cause them to leave. It is very important to a lot of people, myself included.
Best of journeys in Azeroth, and may nature bless you.
