[No] Have you considered a China server?

by wenymwow » Sun Oct 25, 2015 8:42 am

I've been played classic WOW for about 3 years(nostalrius, feenix……and a large number of wow server made by small teams in China).I'm a Chinese player and also a developer.I'm here to give your team suggestions about starting an server in China and for Chinese player only, the reasons are below:
1.There are thousands of Chinese player in France Server, because your powerful and bugless server,I also know that more and more people in China recently choose to play Classic WOW instead of WOW,what's more, another famous server in Holland called Feenix may have the same number of players as yours. It's really a huge number to add them up(at least 3000 I guess).
2.There is also a huge number of classic players(10000+ I guess) in China also want to enjoy high quality classic WOW server like yours.unluckily, they can only play classic WOW on server full of bugs(Mangos) build by small teams in China, because of the god dame Great Firewall of China(GWF) and the 200+ delay(ex. myself). The high delay is the biggest wall to stop most of Chinese players I bet.
3.Those servers in China now mostly are build by mangos or other open source project. Those small teams mostly have 2-3 developers and do not have many time to fix bugs,so the game experience have a big distance to yours.I believe you will get a lot of players.
4.Due to the huge number of Chinese players, you will also get much finance support, even you can sell some 28-bags and flashily flying server in a low price.(almost all Chinese teams do that)
5.I love World of Warcraft and I'm a developer too. I want to build a server by myself at the begin with, but failed cause I got much word to do.I can help you to build the server through http://www.aliyun.com/ or https://aws.amazon.com/.I don't know if this web service support the server program.I've no plan to make money by this.I have to say.
If you have any ideas or thoughts about my suggestions, please contact me by [email protected].

Few things I've noticed:

- That is rather ugly layered out post wrote by someone who claims to be developer. Few paragraphs wouldn't hurt.

- "Due to the huge number of Chinese players, you will also get much finance support". Nost Team is not looking to make profit out of this and that is huge difference in compare to other realms.
That's why it took 5 years to develop almost perfect server instead of just putting out broken server with loadz of bugs.

- If it was a profit based company, I bet there would be asian based server. Since it's non-profit company/realm/server/whatever, don't expect them to invest extra money to suit your needs.
You asians are smart people... gather around and develop something like this for asian crowd.

- [email protected] this looks suspicious and I don't even dare to click on it. That QQ.com got me to laugh tough.
** You will try your best to shed some light upon this writing. However, you will still reveal nothing of importance. Important stuff are hidden... in shadows... in stealth... **

I could get down herding them all onto their own little server and IP banning any future East Asia IP on the current one.
