So I see that that Nostalrius community is just as rabidly against anything 'non-classic' as the P99 community. While, like yeah... i enjoy sticking to 'classic' things. I do not enjoy the crazed sperging that people spout out when someone suggests otherwise.

Imagine that! People that join private servers that are based on classic versions of their favorite games don't want those servers to slowly change back into the retail versions of the games. Rediculous!

I find the suggestion reasonable and I find it a bit weird that people snap so quickly on this.
For myself find the graphics in Vanilla very aged, already back then, but loved it nontheless. Updating the models makes it look more up-to-date and I also doubt it is interfering the actual idea of Vanilla servers much (which mostly resolve around gameplay, design decisions and its actual content and challenges)

It's not like updating the models would destroy the Vanilla game itself. But it might destroy the nostalgia of the authentic Vanilla for many people that just seeker for returning into WoW the way it was. But many probably can admit that they had the graphics better in mind than they actually were.

So I can understand this suggestion being made, I find it reasonable to consider it - but after considering the main aim of this server, preserving the original state seems to have highest priority, so I would decline that suggestion.

It goes back to you can't please everybody.having said that,if you find the newer model more pleasing by all means go back to retail.this will make you happy and this server less populated.

i dont understand why people whine "this is true vanilla blabla" models are graphic settings, only person who chooses to use them sees them.. eitherway wont happen. I would personally love current retail graphics in vanilla game. doesnt change the gameplay at all but makes the game look nicer. and assuming from all the comments i just read my OPINION will bring alots of hate into the table.

It boggles me how people here can say no to this and throwing "blizlike" as a reason against this suggestion. It's not like the OP suggested some "pay2win" crap that finds it's way on the Suggestion thread. If you're against it you could at least kindly disagree with the suggestion and not using "internet cool kid words" to respond on anything that shows up in here. Just because we're running on a 10 year old game doesn't mean we play on Pentium 3. I would understand some technicalities blocking the idea from happening.

This is something that doesn't affect the gameplay at all. I wouldn't mind looking at slightly prettier pixels, would you?
No need for sarcasam, also your few examples doesn't fit under my argument as I'm strictly agains't those type of changes myself. No need to overexaggerate as that's not something I would propose, ever.

You also got to think of the devtime vs the payoff and if something is doable without making the server unstable.
