bump... would really appreciate if some staff member could take few minutes and write the possible negative effects of realm name change, besides the addon issue which I honestly don't see as an issue at all.

the last time the realm name was changed it resulted in issues for around 3 weeks since some players do not browse the forums regularly or simply don't speak english very well

Although I do agree that giving the realm a different name sounds better, having the PvE/PvP clarification in the realm name also has upsides.

Yea, I agree with this suggestion. Could we also have the last realm used come up when you load the game? I am tired of having to check "English" and then choose "PVP" then "Suggest Realm" Really?

I played retail up till Cataclysm and I liked the fact that my realm sounded like a "real" place. Anything that immerses me into the game the better. Maybe do this when BC rolls around?
