Reassess Item Database Modifications (It's Broken)

I understand that the item database was customized with stats on items being modified to reflect previous patches versions of the items however I think some drastic mistakes have been made, as it currently is:

Example:
POST DATABASE MODIFICATION
Level 32 Blue Axe From Gnomer [Thermaplugg's Left Arm] 32.6 DPS

Level 56 Blue Sword From Strat L [Demonshear] 32.6 DPS

With the current modifications [Thermaplugg's Left Arm] litterally does more dps then [Demonshear] because the stats on this item have been nerfed so heavily. And i suspect there are far more cases of similar circumstances
