How is this post rude? How am I the one being rude? Have you people looked at your replies? I'm trying to have a discussion about this and so far everyone has shunned me. I wrote inb4elitists at the bottom, because I feared this outcome. I'm glad the "true" WoW players haven't changed there attitudes. If you guys don't think it's a good idea, that's fine. I'm not going to leave because I'm afraid of the x1 rate. It was just an idea.

I think it could be a good way to keep new players who didn't have the chance to play vanilla originally from getting turned off by the grind.

From everything I've watched and read on Nostalrius's web site, the purpose of this server is to emulate the supposed "glory days" of WoW; it's a server aimed at existing players who enjoyed WoW at its peak that tries to remain as true to the original vanilla WoW as possible with little to no deviations. New players getting on-board is just a perk in the grand scheme of things. That's not to say new players should have their concerns or suggestions discounted, but rather the implementation of such features like XP boosts that caters to new players could end up making the server more un-blizzlike and turn off existing players.

That said, I kindly disagree; I think leveling is fine as it presently is.

Actually, "occasional XP bossts" are available. It's called rested.

lol it's not that I suck at leveling, it's just that when I played Vanilla back in the day I was in high school and had a ridiculous amount of free time. Now I have a career, and I'm much more lazy. But I get it, I'm just gonna deal with it.

I never played WoW before and reading about vanilla grind and how hard it is I was preparing myself for some serious job here but ... what people complain about here? After playing some bull%^& asian mmos vanilla seems like walk in the park to level.
