The server has dynamic spawnrate, but in ungoro it is almost impossible, and this is not blizzlike at all.

In vanilla it was not hard at all to obtain devilsaur, here it is, not only are players like vexxed from grizzly trying to steal from others if you manage to take it, there is plenty of others that also tries this.

Due to the ridiculous spawnrate.


This needs to get adressed, ppl should not get a better bennefit from buying it off ah from farmed money instead of actually trying to skin it themselves.

Right there you notice something is REALLY off.

Not only that ppl that dont even have a need of devilsaur leather to craft anything camp spots to keep their ah auctions going preventing ppl from getting their gear crafted.

I would be fine with this IF the spawnrate would be anywhere close to blizzard vanilla.

But anyone who played hardcore in vanilla knows this is so far of blizzlike its hideous.

I should not be forced to farm money for the proffesion to buy parts to craft a gear instead of skinning it myself, becuse of bad coded spawnrate.

What as the spawnrate on retail, according to you? It's 15 minutes here on Nostalrius.

In vanilla the Devilsaurs had a "randomspawn" also set within the "set" spawns, some specific nodes shared possible devilsaur spawn possiblity.

that means like this server only have 6 nodes of possible spawn locations, and in vanilla the set spawn for devilsaurs was 5 min(on the set locations)

the random spawn nodes that had a chance to spawn them had even lower respawnrate wich ive forgotten.

But it was random and ppl had to kill these mobs for this to happen, often the guys that farmed these, did not kill the normal mobs that could spawn the devilsaurs, but the guys who did quests in the area.

There is a reason why the devilsaur leather sold for 1 g a piece in vanilla instead of 13-15 gold like here.

Due to the awful spawnrate on this server.

Also due to the fact that back in the day nobody really knew about this set (at least not at the begining), while here everyone knows it's BiS for Rogues / Warriors / Hunters ;). And Nostalrius economy isn't "settled down" yet.

Anyway, if you can provide trustworthy proofs of your claims, the staff will probably fix this quickly ;).

OP has a bit of a point. Nost is very Blizz-Like, yes, but one exception made to this is mob spawn rates. Why? Because there has to be some compensation for so many players. With more than double the players online than a full retail realm, mobs are going to be camped way more heavily than they normally would. Thus, the dynamic respawn timers were introduced to balance it out. However, I don't believe these spawn timers work for things such as the STV quest mobs (30 min timers) and Devilsaurs. The same can be said for small camps of mobs, such as the Buzzards in Blasted Lands (farming 14 Gizzards is soooooo much fun).

I would like to see the respawn timers improved to adjust for cases like these.
