Lowering the AFK timer might be a good idea too. I think it would be possible to find a good balance between population cap and booting AFK players.

Do you even know what a queue is? The whole point of implementing a queue is that you'll get to play,
and not experience lag/overpopulation. It's a win-win. The only trade-off is that you'll have to wait a few minutes or so for a spot to open. An easy choice, if you ask me.
