Suggestion: Killing a faction boss disables pvp safety.

How does this sound?

Gives a point to kill them. And by the moment a faction in a city doesn't give a damn about their king dying, they will pay with their safety.

For as long as the king is dead, the zones will turn to contested. (Or only the city at least)

Hate to say this, but that's obviously not vanilla-like. Main cities were made for a reason: to have factions inside that city be inside that city. I believe there was a quest that you had to raid all opposing faction's bosses, but that might be a later expansion (unsure).

Also, this would make it a PvE server. The patch would also have to be updated because vanilla doesn't have phasing either ... which would pretty much be required in order to make a zone contested both by the server and to the client.

tl;dr a lot of work with nothing useful that could come out of it

It's an alright suggestion for a non-blizzlike server that doesn't worry about progression though.

It would be funny to see some kind of small boss after you kill a leader. I have no clue what it could be but that could be something interesting

It is an achievement and it gives you a mount as your reward.

Thanks. I'm amazed I remembered that was in the game in later expansions.

Would kinda be unfair for people that are afking in the city or lowbies that are just starting out.

Consequence for failing to defend the king. But worry not, I raided ironforge with 5 guildies once, and it was enough to attract 15 defenders upon us.

Men, I'm sure this won't be implemented, maybe a tint possibility when all content is done..

Better to disable sanctuary effect for every target above 50 lvl lets say.
So noobs won't be harrased, lazy highlvl afkers will be raped -> everyone is happy.

^ simple. But it won't be implemented. Unless naxx is cleared and then maybe put some nonblizzlike elements on the server for that while there will be a TBC server but I doubt many people will stay for that.

Not a real problem, fix too small to bitch about, it's not similar to dualspec absurd requests.
There is only one problem with it - most of the people are against such innovations cause do not like wpvp and do not want to be raped in the main cities. Sadly, but most people here are pacifists :geek:
