Database and Armory

A database and armory section on the website would be aswesome, would give a "complete" feel. And perhaps a bit more blizz-like design elements on the website (i'm not saying identical or nothin', not by far)
My 2 cents.

When I ask for this during the beta in June they said they didn't want because they don't want other p.serv to copy theirs datas.

Maybe not a database then but an armory. The armory would be a great addition; adds to the blizzlike feeling.

I'll have to disagree, the introduction of an armory would move the game more towards what retail is today. The idea of an armory might, in theory, be somewhat good (same thing went for the introduction of flying mounts), but in the end it's just a convenience thing. In my humble opinion it destroys integrity and privacy of your toon; something that I much enjoyed back in vanilla, moreover it washes away the mystique that creates a rich gaming environment. The idea of having everyone knowing everything (or at least close to) is not tempting.

I'm pretty sure the armory was launched during TBC, wasn't it ?

I'm pretty sure the armory has no impact on the game and is a cool feature no matter what.
Preaching "blizzlike" like it's a god might sound virtuous but is not very relevant for matters such as these.

But if they don't want to implement it for some other reason, I personally do not mind.

I'm not especially against the Armory, it's kinda useful sometimes, it's just more of a gadget to me.
Anyway I wouldn't mind at all if the staff implemented it ; Apollan saying it would add to the blizz-like feeling was just somewhat amusing.

It would also mean more page hits/traffic/new visitors (especially if the staff decides to open up one) more data > more visitors > more players? no?
If i would check out a server i would totally appreciate those sections (oh look, it's got it's own database and armory, cute, let's check it out)

A database will probably never happen. There's plenty of good reasons why. One of which is competition with other servers. An armory could happen however, as it is of no use for other servers. It's up to Nostalrius to decide. If they want perfect Blizzlike, I don't think armories existed in Classic.

If they want perfect Blizzlike, NR must have to crash every 3 days.
