Hello lovely Nos forum members and staff.
I have been playing for almost a month now, and I must say I really love playing on you server, regardless of DCs, lagg and other minor issues.

There is 1 issue i would like to address though. I know this will spark some controversy, but i want some debate about this. Here goes.

Can someone please moderate general chat?

I know that there are many troll out there, and i like them a lot! Makes for a fun experience when you fall for their traps. But having to listen to "Buff me Faggot" or "go kill yourself nigger scum" or "Bitches love to be raped"
or "Vague/implicit" pedophilia jokes.

These are some examples, of what I have experienced during my timer here om Nos.

Please lets have a conversation about this subject, because I for one think it is about time!!

If you see someone spamming the chat or making racist/homophobic/sexist comments, please take a screenshot, upload it to imgur or some other free hosting service, make a ticket and place a link to it inside. We'll take it from there. Please note that making a ticket does not automatically mean a player getting suspended or muted. Try to make sure that there's a sufficient amount of text show - a single sentence out of context might not necessarily be enough.

Alright, do you want a more detailed explanation of what you're suggesting vs what you should do in this case?

If someone is being rude, harassing you in any sort of way, or offensive in any manner possible, you may submit a ticket with the player name and a screenshot of the problematic person so their behavior warrants a warning. From a warning, it can be taken onto a final warning, suspension, and so forth. GMs are here to allow a better quality community and experience. Use it as such.

Onto moderating "general chat". You're implying there must be a GM in every single zone so they can moderate every single general chat. This isn't happening. As I said, you must ignore or report the player(s) because there isn't enough GMs to moderate every zone, chat, and player interaction on the server.

Aunstic: I know that moderating the general chat will be difficult if not impossible, but I had to ask. And I have not been able to find any other threads with this subject.

I am with Overflow. I don't understand why people have to try and be "edgy" by using racist/homophobic/sexist language. If nothing else, it's boring and unoriginal.

When you take 9,000 people from all different sides of the internet and gather them on one server, you're going to get every face of life you can imagine. Assholes, addicts, conservatives, whores, LGBT, racists, feminists, casuals, gangsters (pseudo), ninjas, Chinese gold farmers, and possibly your future husband/wife.

It's unoriginal, but allow people to be anonymous and you've given them any identity they choose.
I help people out on the forum, but I'm usually on amphetamines/'uppers' in real life.
