While it would be neat, lets be honest, something so iconic and legendary to vanilla shouldn't be trifled with, it ruins the nostalgic feeling if you see a random guy with ashbringer in goldshire.
They messaged me back though and never had their GM tag up, saying that you had to go to Naxx40, get Corrupted Ashbringer to drop, then do a long questline. I wouldn't think a GM would do that, but there's been crazier stories. So it's possible.

That's what a suggestion is for. If I were offering to donate to give my characters in-game items, that would be MUCH different. However, I'm not. I'm just asking to complete a part of the game which Blizzard apparently never did.

And if a dev would contact me I could arrange it however they wanted for whatever payment they'd want. I could donate before, or after. It was my childhood dream as the 2nd top ret paladin on my retail vanilla server, and 4th top dps in the 2nd best guild on the server, to wield the purified Ashbringer. I'd pay to see that become a possibility on a server where you actually have to earn what you have on characters, not have it given to you upon character creation like most other garbage servers. Thus the reason I'm going to donate some with or without it implemented. I like the server, but I'll like it better once it's complete.
I understand that the 714 damage on proc is a bit extreme for anyone whining "but but but, it's just too oooppp :'(". That's why I'd recommend it's proc be nerfed, but that's up to the developers and if they want to even implement it at all, then they can decide if they want to tweak it.
