Are you sure? Actually they are several (lot) more objects to be loaded for every char that is near them.

A mass of skeletons on the ground is supposed to serve as a sign of recent events, to warn of potential enemies in the area. When they take forever to disappear, they become pointless, because the threat is more than likely gone after a couple of hours. Seeing a massacre that happened yesterday is useless to me.
Just because it doesn't affect server performance doesn't mean their staying time should be cranked up as much as possible.
