Paladins in vanilla where never intended to be main tank. And our horde counterpart, shamans are just as much of a tank as a paladin is.

Do you see shamans as a main tank? if the answer is NO, then why do you see paladins as one?

The biggest problem for paladin is not the lack of taunting abilities, its the lack of resource management and pulling abilities. This is why they gave paladins a skill that gave them mana back when overhealed and ranged skills in tbc. Since paladin first than got designed to be main tanks, where shamans got designed to be duel wielding melee dps.

Shaman wear Mail and while they can equip shields, have no tanking/blocking talents in their enhancement tree (other than base 5% in tier 1) in Vanilla whereas Paladins wear Plate and have $hitloads of tanking/blocking talents in their Protection tree.

Comparing the two isn't being intellectually honest to this discussion.

Resource management works fine with Judgement of Wisdom and Seal of the Crusader along with a fast 1handed weapon while spamming consecration for agro.

Shamans have higher avoidance, where paladins have none.
Shamans have migration skills in the form of totems including a taunt totem called stoneclaw.

lol wut?

Redoubt is multiple charges +30% blocking
Holy Shield is multiple charges of +30% blocking + Holy dmg back on each block
Blessing of Sanctuary lowers your incoming damage + Holy dmg back on each block
Anticipation provides 10 defence

I don't need a taunt and a taunt isn't even useable on 3/4 of the raid bosses in Vanilla.

Consecration > Sunder

Especially while I tank 10 or more mobs at once and have top DPS in the group/raid while tanking :P

No, Paladin tanks are garbage and very limited in their use. People can argue all day for hybridtanks but when you measure the different class/specs and ability to fill a tankrole there is no need to discuss things. For a guild there is no reason to choose a hybrid over a warrior except for teh lulz (bears look cool etc).

Theloras has been living on his persistent trolling since a while back on this and other forums (I he's trolling, else I would feel sad; heck it's sad no matter what lol).

Then why have I tanked every dungeon in the game on Nostalrius and done so while tanking 5-6 mobs at a time - you jelly of my abilities?

And I only dinged 60 a week ago!

Dungeons main tanked:
BRD
Scholomance
Strat Undead/Live
Dire Maul East
Dire Maul West
Dire Maul North + Tribute Run
LBRS
UBRS

You and the other fags who tried to troll me on the other server's forums look pathetic following me here to try and troll me again - nice try bro - go back to being bad.

PS Can't wait to AOE tank BWL suppression room, goblin tech packs and Nefarian Phase1 and 3 when it comes out and make you look even stupider :)

PPS And I did all of this as RET spec - which is an even great FCUK YOU to you bro 11 / 9 / 31 spec FTW

PPPS OH and doing 30-40% of the total group/raid DPS in the process.

You're here to tank. Not brag about your DPS as a 'tank' while aoeing.

See you and your whiney concerns in TBC. :P
