You enjoy being a douche to people, you play PVP. You enjoy the game? PVE. Vanilla was NOT PVP. Deal with it.

That being said: Up the damn spawn rates. Riding around for over 2 hours and seeing NOTHING is god damned fucking idiotic.

This comment is ridiculous. I'd agree if spawn rates on the server were blizzlike but they're not. The devs were messing with bliiz spawn rates several times and for this moment we have increased spawn rates for low lvl herbs/ores and decreased for high lvl herbs/ores. They've managed to solve mob spawn rates problem brilliantly so they can do this for herbs/veins again.

WTF does this topic has in common with the new pve server? Write something useful next time.... And no, simply increasing the spawn rates won't help, because it will be freaking easy to farm herbs early in the morning, when there is barely 3k online. It has to be dynamic like the mob spawn rates.

pretty much everyone who's here knew about the high pop and still chose it. it has advantages and it has disadvantages. while you cheer at the pros, you whine about the cons. but they're both caused by the same source. so fcking deal with it.

the server is not about making ppls lifes more comfortable so you got more spare time to touch yourself, its about being blizzlike. and increasing whatever is NOT BLIZZLIKE. a blizzlike solution would be to lower/cap the population. but why would you not want that? cause BGs come slower? there are less dungeon groups? theres less wpvp? BUT THEN THERE ARE MORE HERBS/VEINS FOR YOU WHINER WHY ARE YOU NOT HAPPY

Except that the herb spawn rate is about 1/3 of normal vanilla, while the population is about 3x normal vanilla servers. And also except that they have tried to make provisions for the high population elsewhere - but not with respect this issue.

I tested this on my 300 herbalist with Ghost Mushrooms before dropping herbalism as a profession and taking up mining instead. At least the mine respawn rates are reasonably close to original vanilla.
The pizza level in my bloodstream is dangerously low.

I timed it here on Nostalrius. It's over an hour here. That's 1/3 the rate it should be.

This is harder to find proof for; I'm basing my assessment on personal experience farming ore back in the day, as I started at launch. And I farm it now on Nost. It feels about the same.

What's your basis for comparison?
