The whole point of opening a PvE server is so that people don't have to deal with unwanted combat with the other faction. My girlfriend, for example, stopped playing due to the frustration of having to constantly fight other players to survive. She stopped playing, but that doesn't mean she wants to have to level up her characters again. Nostalrius already had a grand opening, and people picked the PvP server because there was no other option. Many people already playing don't want to be on a PvP server, but they also don't want to have to level six new characters to catch up to where they'd been before.

I, for one vote for character transfers if possible. I do think that new players will join because of the PvE server, but I don't think that the numbers will be significant enough to warrant a second "Grand Opening." Most of the players will be from the PvP server, that already know about and play on Nostalrius.

it would be very nice to have character transfer option, maybe then when one is 60 in server first? but its everyone own will to choose, transfer or not, id like to transfer, leveling is just suck time wasting

A server transfer would be nice just to lighten the load. I dont mind pvp or pve servers, perhaps allowing transffer. A compromise would be nice. As far as how it will work, I dont have any ideas.

Hopefully we do. No guaruntees yet. But that's kind of an apples to oranges comparison.
I'M glad there will be no transfers. Transferring between pvp and pve is always a bad idea. People will just start using the pve server as a starter server for there pvp toons and transfer off once they get pvp geared.
Plus. A fresh start server is always more enjoyable.
Don't worry. People will be clearing level 60 content within a couple weeks, just like on the pvp server. After a few months you'll be right back to where you were with your current toons.

I don't get it, PVE means player vs environment. your kind should love to level up all over again

There is no desire to transfer to PvP only away from it. And only since the PvE realm will open much later, and PvP so far was/is the only choice.

It is tough to tell someone to painfully level 60 level on a PvP server simply because there is no other alternative, and once there is they are told "Great, now do it all again."

I look forward to leveling up again on the new server! I'm glad there are no transfers, because if there were, it would kill the hype. Lot's of new people will be drawn to NoS for the opportunity of a fresh start.
