No, just no. Why? Because it's a big change and also very much not blizzlike. Might as well add titans grip for warriors, from level 10.

That's the thing, having things that don't make sense is part of the experience. For example - gear quality color doesn't say anything about it's actual usefulness - it's up to player to decide what's good and what's bad, instead of blizzard deciding it for them. If we start "fixing what blizzard did wrong", you would end up with a different game.

How is allowing shamans to wield swords ending up with a different game?

Titan Grip had huge game impact and cannot compare with adding 1 more weapon type to a class

It won't happen, doesn't matter the argument. They couldn't learn swords in vanilla, they won't be able to learn them here.

Shamans could never learn swords, vanilla had nothing to do with it.

Death Knight - Axes, Swords, Maces, Polearms
Druid - Maces, Polearms, Staves, Daggers, Fist
Hunter - Axes, Swords, Polearms, Staves, Daggers, Fist, Bows, Crossbows, Guns
Mage - One-Handed Swords, Staves, Daggers, Wands
Monk - One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Swords, One-Handed Maces, Polearms, Staves, Fist
Paladin - Axes, Swords, Maces, Polearms
Priest - One-Handed Maces, Staves, Daggers, Wands
Rogue - One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Swords, One-Handed Maces, Daggers, Fist, Bows, Crossbows, Guns, Thrown (Rogues can't actually use Bows, Crossbows, or guns, but they can equip them.)
Shaman - Axes, Maces, Staves, Daggers, Fist
Warlock - One-Handed Swords, Staves, Daggers, Wands
Warrior - Axes, Swords, Maces, Polearms, Staves, Daggers, Fist, Bows, Crossbows, Guns, Thrown

You shouldn't use NPCs especially major lore characters as an example for what your player class should be able to do. I mean I'm sure Mages would love to be able to drown Orgrimmar like Jaina or Warlocks summoning fel volcanoes like Gul'dan, but that just isn't happening.

And by the way, Blizzard removed his swords and gave him axes in Wrath of the Lich King.

It's like giving rogues the ability to use 1h axes, it just gives them a random power surge at all levels, having access to ideal stats where they werent always intended.

As if World of Warcraft were ever balanced around anything other than max level.
