If you already did not know, the admins can modify spell data on the server-side so that it functions correctly on our 1.12 clients in a manner similar to earlier patches. The .dbc files already have zzOLDCorruptedBlood (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?spell=24330) as a template for it. However, the admins made it clear with the ZG PTR test that they are designing the instance with Post-Nerf fixes rather than the original design.

I know. My point was they'd have to purposefully introduce the bug in order for it to happen here.

They would also need to make sure they can fix it without any major consequences.

It would be fun but you would get alot of raiding guilds/rankers complain tbh/

This is likely impossible to recreate, even if we tried to break it so it could be. Pets, when dismissed, lose all buffs / debuffs and we'd have to first break that (working) mechanic and then we'd have to rescript Hakkar to break him and then rescript him again to unbreak him.

My perception is that players would feel our time is better spent on other matters and I would agree.

I guess this confirms my previously voiced suspicions regarding this issue.

I came here to say this. Pets losing buffs/debuffs was changed sometime during the Burning Crusade and is not working as it should here. And before one of the mods gives me a link to the bugtraker, I made one regarding this issue months ago as did other players.

Given the Corrupted Blood after 1.8 can't stay on pets or exist outside Zul'Gurub, to make this event possible the Mods would have to intentionally give it to NPCs outside the instance and remove the instance limitation or make another spell that works like Corrupted Blood did before patch 1.8 thus leaving Hakkar untouch while still giving a retail like experience.

Not sure which would be easier for the developers or even if they want to risk doing either. Just my thoughts on possible solutions.

missed having pets keeping the geddon bomb and calling it in the city for fun times.. :(
