So in your opinion the game is all about gearing and you see loot sales as an illegitemate shortcut?
The solution was already given to you, simply refrain from joining those kinds of raids, and try to accept the fact that a lot of people play the game for different reasons than you.

And no I don't personally benefit from loot sales.

Its an mmorpg, not a single player, and loot saturation affects everyone. Blizzard set the rules very clear. People are free to play the game for whatever reasons they like but the rules should be respected.

Blizzard set the rules very clear.

Please give me the source where Blizzard says selling loot for gold is against the rules.

BoP items cannot directly be sold for gold, if Blizzard wanted items to be sold for gold, they wouldn't make them BoP. Their intentions for the game mechanics and the game direction were very clear

Blizzard's intentions by the Greed/Need system was to make players able to sort loot. And even their intentions was to have people click Need when they need, ninja'ing happened - and this wasn't against any rule.
So we can conclude that "Intentions" and "rules" are not the same.

So we can both agree that this is maybe against their intentions, but suddenly not against the rules, right?
And can we also agree that Nostalrius strives to be Blizzlike?
And therefore selling loot for gold here is not against the rules here either.

This server is not 100% blizzlike, for example multiboxing is not allowed, I don't remember Blizzard disallowing multiboxing . And it was a deliberate decision by the administration of this server.

So if Blizzard failed to act on a loot loophole, may be this server should.

So your argument for implementing non-Blizzlike functionality is that the server does not allow multiboxing?
I wonder why you don't suggest instant level 60 or flying mounts now you're at it ...

(Multiboxing is not allowed, since it was not possible in Vanilla unless you paid for two accounts. Accounts here are free as you might know)

No, my argument is that this server does not strive to be 100% Blizzlike as you said, which is proved by their decision to disallow multiboxing, or the adjustment of the mobs respawn rates (i believe?).

The administration of the server has proven to be flexible, so your only reasoning(that the server is 100% blizzlike) to not prohibit guilds from selling loot is invalid.

Re: Prohibit guilds from selling loot for gold

But guilds did sell loot for gold on retail. I simply don't get your argumentation: You want something which was legal - and happened - in retail to illegal here.

And you haven't answered the question: Why is selling loot bad?

Note that if multiboxing was allowed here, then you would quickly see people with 10+ clients running around. That rarely happened in retail due to the need of paying for new accounts, and therefore Nostalrius added the multiboxing rule.

I already explained. If you don't agree that it's bad, that's your opinion that you are entitled to.
