Raiding in vanilla wasnt designed to be challenging,like bringing people to their limits. It was designed as endgame content people could strive for when they hit 60 and finished running dungeons.

If you want difficult boss mechanics, wait until BWL and onward. Raids become much more of a skill than gear check (although gear is also required) as progression goes on.
And just for the record, current MC is not that easy. Server is far too new, fire resist gear is almost non-existent (Rag 1-shotting tanks will be a thing for a while), flask of titans is a precious commodity, a lot of gear (pre-raid and raid) is not available and so on. Most people, who did MC in vanilla, did it post 1.4.
tl;dr - stop whining
