It would be stupid to make black lotuses drop from herbs like they are dropping in TBC. It's not how it worked in vanilla since it's obviously separate herb. And i believe that black lotuses spawn correctly on Nostalrius. I cannot confirm if they spawn 2x on 1 continent (example: both winterspring and silithus 2x every 1 hour) or if it spawns only 1 per continent. But what i can confirm that spawn locations are blizzlike and respawn time is between 60 and 70 minutes.
Nodes (both herbs and minerals) shouldn't be on priority list for fixing (if it even needs a fix, i didn't noticed anything strange so far) but rather major class bugs that are reported via forums.

Seems to be working fine here in that case. Only one problem (might be my bad luck though), I've gathered it 7 times so far and it always dropped only 1x, all 7 times. I doubt it's my bad luck but who knows.

As someone who dropped Skinning (263) and Herbalism (231) for Engineering and Mining I can tell you from experience the spawn rate is fine. I was able to reach 40 Mining in about an hour and change.

What I would like to see is node positions fixed. Some of them are spawning in the air and in extreme examples they're unreachable.

Black Lotuses are only supposed to have 1 drop.

I have mining 300 too, but I'm not only talking about the current situation but also about the future, where most people will only farm the lvl 50-60 areas. And Thorium is getting harder to farm, especially when you can only farm during peek times, because of work. Thats why i also suggested to have the spawnrates dynmaically so you can also farm during peek times.

Some of the nodes are a little strange, for example there's a spot in Winterspring that has 4 sungrass all bundled ontop of each other.

You gotta remember. The lowest the server population gets is about 3k. And that's still a LOT. It's gonna be a struggle to farm man. I agree that's some brutally low yield, but it's gonna be a battle.

It was never a struggle to farm for herbs on retail, why it should be a struggle here, sounds like custom made not blizzlike to me. At least THANK god for Diremaul east for 1 BLACK lotus nearly every ID.
