I think the reason many people are on this server is because they want to relive world of Warcraft as it was at release. I for one would be disappointed if something was changed from being classic to non-classic. Will things ever be perfect? Probably not, but the closer things are to being classic, the happier the majority of the players will be.

I guess if that's what people want, then that would be the best thing to do, but I doubt that's what people really want, at a deeper level.

I wish nostalrius admins would ban the making of *Make the game easier to fit my casual style waaaawaawaaawawa*

So many wrathbabies all over the place.

I think you're wrong, at a deeper level, my philosophical friend.

I'm not being philosophical, I'm just being real.

You are basically asking Nost team to remove consequences from the decisions that the players make. If resetting talents was free, you wouldn't have to think about what choices you're making as there are no consequences whether they make good or bad ones. It's the kind of coddling that led Blizzard to ruin their own game, expansion by expansion and patch by patch in the eyes of the kind of players who populate this server.

Which is why I think that you're wrong in your assumption at what players want on a deeper level.

I was saying that I think people at a deeper level want something new, not something old. That had nothing to do with my suggestion, except that I think it would make the game newer, and not old.

What Blizzard did was in an entirely different direction. What they did moved their game into a less free environment, where you only really have a few choices for you spec. What I'm talking about is opening it up so that people have more freedom to choose their specs, without the limitation of money. It would not make it so you don't have to think, it would make it more dynamic. If you chose a bad spec, well, you would have a bad spec. That's the consequence.

There are plenty of modifier half-ass vanilla servers out there that compromise on points such as these. Also there's this game called Warlords of Draenor. My point being. The whole purpose of this server is to copy vanilla wow, EXACTLY 100% and not deviate at all, not even a little on ANY point what so ever.

When I use the word "new", I'm saying it in a different way. I wouldn't call WoD new, it's dead and dying. They are trying to hold on to the the past, and bring the glory they once had into something dead. It's in the opposite direction. It's becomeing more structered and loosing more freedom. It's becoming more and more rebotic. It's like they are forcing people into a certain way of playing. Everything in that game feels like a cookie cutter to me, hense the words dead, old, and copied. Those words don't really do justice to what I'm saying, but I'm doing the best I can.

I don't think you really have to make the server 100% like it was when it first came out to get that feel you're looking for. I think that feel can be improved upon. I think you can create a newness in the game without destroying the old aspects of the game people love. But if you make it more structured and less free, you will loose it. If you bend to everyone's likings and play styles, then you will lose it too. If you think that's what my suggestion is, then you are missing my point. I think my suggestion would free up people's play style, and be a major step in the right direction.

Please, if there are any moderators out there, could you confirm whether or not this is going to be 100% like it was when it first came out, so I know whether I'm shooting into a wall or not.
