Pretty sure Blizzard didn't increase any spawn rates back then due to overpopulation. Suck it up gusy, should've stocked up when it was cheap :mrgreen:

There are more than three times the number of active players on this server at any one time than the highest server population cap in vanilla retail. That's a bit different than just overpopulation.

They really need to do something about this with BWL on the horizon. Currently, there will not be enough Black Lotus spawning server-wide per week to give two tanks enough Flasks for said week in each raiding guild on the server.

Actually herbs spawned in rate how fast they were picked and there were always a minimum of herbs in area thus they never been barren and you could always find one every 50-80y not like on this server you need to spend ages to get some.

Without reading any argument, or 11 pages of stupidity, i'm going to leave my sole reason why I think that yes, rates SHOULD be increased.


Retail 1.12.1 Realms, could hold about 3000 to 4000 people. We have 10,000 players actively playing here. Thats more than double what the server was intended to sustain. That means, there is double the amount of competition for herbs and ore, which means there is more than double the demand.


In terms of Supply vs Demand vs Population, what we have is not nearly enough to sustain this server for much longer.

One of two things needs to happen here. Herb rates need to be increased, or another realm needs to be opened so the population can be split allowing things to ease up.

Its not a very hard concept to grasp. Its currently an issue our actual World is dealing with.

Pretty sure blizzard servers didn't have 8000 players online at one time either.

Considering the troubles people have collecting herbs, i'm quite curious to how some people manage to collect said herbs and sell relatively high amount of them.

Is it all luck? Highly doubtful with this kind of competition for them

I just started out playing when i heard there was a good vanilla server :)

I can comfirm that it actually is pretty painful to level up herbalism.
Im only lvl 20 but Mulgore & Barrens are highly populated. Ive actually done several runs around the landscape trying to find herbs but mostly its a waste of time. When i do find a herb its often in an area that requires me to kill 3-5 mobs and that the reason no one has touched it.

I can only imagine how it is in 55-60 areas.
