NO! Transmog is one of the main reasons I don't want to touch retail WoW. Before you could see someone from far away and know which item he has, admire his achievements. With transmog you can't tell. It totally ruins the experience. This is a definite no for true Vanilla players.

So because some of us want to have RP gear not be different from raid gear/pvp gear (a feature transmog gave us that was BEYOND awesome) or we like the appearance of other sets compared to what's BiS at the moment (..I will always hate Plagueheart) we're lesser? Vanilla lovers are known for having elitist attitudes and this is one of those things that gives that impression.

I like the idea, but wish it could be only client side or with option to see actual gear on opponent if he's flagged for pvp.

It was a cool feature on retail and I understand why they implemented it BUT it is not in line with what vanilla was (and is here) and should absolutely NOT be implemented here.

Besides all the mentioned reasons it would also require a client modification, so nah.

whats with all the "not blizzlike". blizzard did it. just later on.

besides it changes NOTHING in combat.
only thing that allows you is to have your character appear as you like best,
and not like a clown with 5 different colors and silly shoulderpads.

also, why would u want to see if someone is well geared or not?
so u can run the other way? well that's convenient isnt it?

i have to admit that i really liked transmoggin on retail.. but imo it wouldnt fit to vanilla

Transmog is great on retail because most of the WoD armour is pretty ugly. (nowhere near as ugly as everything from MoP though.)

One of the main joys of Vanilla was seeing people in incomplete tier sets, or random pieces of gear.

and everyone looking exactly the same when raiding.
yeah, thats really awesome.

if you wanna look pretty just DL a model editor that does what Tmorph does in retail.

that changes a certain model on everyone who wears it.
not to mention that it only changes it for you.
so its not helping.
