if you want 100% experience then you would need more servers to be connected with so you can do battlegrounds at lower levels..
Please understand that even that many people are interested in this server pvp queues at lowlevels will be several hours long if any so be able to queue up is actually MORE blizzlike than the original system
remember PVP is a huge part of the game.
And people will still idle near battlemasters ! ( i have seen that on other servers )

I dont like low lvl PVP (I like world pvp tho).. Yeah 100% true vanilla experience would be with PVP, but dunno, it would just feel better if I knew that scripts are ~100% blizzlike :)

but.. this will also increase the amount of world pvp since people wont hang around the battlemasters just to pvp

now they can quest AND pvp and world pvp..

it is a win win win situation

I'm totally with this!

And if we are at this point, we should have some kind of teleporting tool which brings us to the instances. Or wait! What if we would have a match making system, which forms groups to instances automatically? I mean who wants to talk with people to form a group? Or have some small chat while travelling to the dungeon? Have the feeling that he/she is in a big ass world with actual distances between places? It's not like we want to play with an MMO, right?

But wait! (Wow, this topic inspired me so much!) We all know how much pain it is to be a part of a raiding guild, right? Attending raid hours, establish a good relationship with the team. So why don't we have a system, which forms raids for us? Like the system for dungeons? But wait! An actual raid is hard, isn't it? Getting consumables, gear, knowledge about the fight. So they should lower the difficulty of these raids for at least these kind of raid groups.

But wait! If all we want is raiding, why don't they make this an instant 60 server? I mean, who are we trying to fool here? No one is here to have a solid 1-60 experience in an actually working enviorment.

But wait! (Oh, my god, my mind is on steroids!) What do we raid for? Teamplay? Challenge? Nah. We raid for the loot! For purple stuff! So why don't we give it to everybody? So we don't have to waste our time with gearing, travelling, questing, learning, practicing etc. You know, with gameplay which comes with an MMO.

So, my additions to the topic:
- Let the server be instant 60.
- Let those instant 60 characters have end game BIS items.

So we can end the game even before it even starts, so we can go play with kittens, swim in a pool, or just simply go outside.

I can support this idea pre-60. I believe Rebirth had this system?

Imagine leveling in the mid-30s, with queue wait times ~45 mins, and questing. Doing a WSG every other hour to break up the grind.

Don't get me wrong, Mulen, I understand your point. BG queue was an issue back on retail also, that's why they implemented battlemasters, then they made battlegroups between servers, then they made it one click from anywhere.

So the idea of porting in to a BG from anywhere is kinda Blizzlike, but not 1.12 Blizzlike.

And I think everyone who wants to play on this server should accept this.

There are good things which was implemented later on. Small things like auto-unmounting, the total revamp of the fishing system and so on. At least I think these are nice things and sometimes I miss them when playing on a vanilla server.

But do I whish to implement them now? No. Why? Because then where should we stop? If we add this and this, why don't we also that and that? There is no stop. And it is totally subjective what we consider a good thing and what not. For example there could be people who despise 25 or 20 men raiding, so they dig vanilla for the 40 men experience, but they like the dungeon finder option and the sped up leveling of the later expansions because they just find the overall leveling experience boring so they would like to make it as short as possible.

There is no way to make everyone happy.

But the team of Nostalrius has a winning card in their hands: they want to make a 1.12 server as close to retail as possible. And that's it. Any suggestion other than this can (and as I see: will) be rejected because of this. So if they make someone "upset", they can say: that's how it was. And in my opinion: you can't argue with that. That's their goal, that's what we get. It is not a service where we have a chance to complain about things like this. We can only complain if they don't achive their goal: to make a 1.12 experience.

And from what I have seen so far, they are going to reach that goal. But if they would implement something like your idea, then they will not. Even if I think the idea is actually good, it would make the team fail to reach the goal of replicating 1.12. And I, personally, don't want to see that. Cause I'm here because they promised they will be as close to vanilla as possible with all its glory and all its flaws.
