Why don't you just ask for help? 60s that want to pvp are eager to do world pvp with other 60s, especially if that other 60 is ganking some of their lowbies. It's always fun to put someone in their place for some good old karma.
And it feels good afterwards to get back at people that are annoying you or being scumbags.
That's what the pvp drama is all about. And that's a part of what creates a server community and lets people communicate with each other and help each other out, whether it be through dungeons, or world pvp, or even ganking, doesn't matter.

If there was no world pvp, if there was no ganking, if no names on the server got a reputation with time for whatever reason, be it that person is a scumbag, asshole, ganker, nice guy, or whatever he is, that is a large part of what the MMO community is all about. It gives you a reason to care, whether you hate that person, or vice versa.

I'm rambling now, though. My point was, if you're getting ganked you should always ask for help or at least warn others in the zone of the gankers. Word of mouth spreads fast and usually 60s show up to help, a big part of that is the thrill of ganking the gankers, and teaching them a lesson.
That's one of the many spices of a server community that is alive and interacts with each others, rather than being the dead zombies in the cross-realm mix of everyone doing the same thing every day like what WoW became with time.

Yeah. Or even better, gather a party of those who have suffered as much as you, and put down the ganker. A group of level 30+'s actually does have a chance against a badly geared and unskilled level 60. Plus, destroying somebody many levels above you just feels soo good.

I like the idea of not having this at all

if theres not gonna be any low level BGs, then so be it

at this rate we're gonna release well before Kronos, or they're gonna bomb big time if they release before feburary, and then everyone who leaves would come here

as a result low lvl bsg wont be too big a problem

recently the kronos progress bar went up by one whole percent, and then they apologized for the lack of news, and admitted they wont be able to release it before the end of the year

we shouldn't have to rush the server release at all in order to get a healthy playerbase

I already talked about that. It never works that way. EVER.

99.999% of the time the response (if you get one at all) is, "Who cares?", or another common one is "then stop playing on a pvp server, scrub!".

Guilds never have time to help (or a more common problem on private servers is that there simply aren't enough people to give a good coverage to even have a chance of asking for help). Other people in the zone simply don't care themselves.

Maybe 1% of the time, you'll MAYBE organize something at which point the ganker just laughs at you and logs off since their mission was accomplished, they made you waste your time and effort organizing a pointless hunt that didn't get a single HK.

And you basically never get the chance to see justice done because people simply don't care. Even if you your entire faction has a Kill/camp on sight order for Trolly McGriefer, it'll never amount to anything. (unlike say ninja-looters or leavers, which a blacklist is usually very effective against, since post lvl 40, they're basically committing WoW-suicide by earning such a reputation since NO ONE wants to be grouped with a ninja or leaver since it wastes everyone's time, and given the amount of time it takes to bounce back and level a new character in classic, there's far fewer opportunities to make it worthwhile (and if they did offer recustomization services, it wouldn't help since changing the name simply changes the name in your ignore list as well)).

And looking at the other way.....PVP is the worst server type for building communities on. This is fact. PvP servers on wow have THE most toxic communities by far of any server type purely because they breed general hatred and apathy for those outside of your Guild unit. The best communities are actually built on RP servers, since there's a decided focus on immersion and verisimilitude.

World PvP in Eve Online has a point. Your faction gets salvage while denyings your rivals materials or access, starving them out till you can move in and crush them or weaken them enough for someone else to do so. On WoW, there is zero penalty for dying or being camped, which makes it pointless. And the only people who suffer are the people who are trying to do non-pvp related activities while being attacked by other players.

Since when was World PvP, or in your case, ganking - in any game supposed to be fun for the person getting wrecked? Do you seriously think it's MORE fun to get everything stolen from you in EvE than getting ganked in WoW?
What the hell kind of logic is that.
Just because there is a bigger reason for ganking in EvE, doesn't mean it's any better for the person on the receiving end, in fact, it's WAY worse. What you lose from getting ganked in WoW (some time spent doing quests otherwise, or farming stuff) - is NOTHING compared to what you can lose in EvE.

People that gank other people, do so for a reason. Whatever that reason is, they enjoy doing it. They might know you personally and do it to annoy you, but mostly it's just because they enjoy abusing the weak and they get "shits n giggles" out of it. I think they'll enjoy it even more if you would ever reply to them like that. That would only fuel their fire and reasoning to continue.

You're not supposed to be the one having fun when you're getting ganked. Some might enjoy the thrill, but most people like yourself probably get annoyed with it.
But World PvP isn't just ganking. It's not just about who spams their abilities more or pwning n00bz.
In fact, there's no point to me discussing this any more, because you obviously just stand on a different viewpoint than I on the whole subject.

What you find to be terrible things, aren't so terrible in my eyes, in fact, some of them are good. And there's nothing that can change those perspectives for either one of us. So there's nothing more me to add.

I actually used this a lot on Rebirth to teleport unsuspecting guild members into places that were beyond fathomable. with magical mage blink powers, I queued pvp party members into the back of ZG, on a desolate island in STV, Gm island, and that strange island with the gnome who obliterates kids with mind control (Alcatraz island I think?) just for fun.
it can be abused if allowed, just keep that in mind.
its better to have the battle masters in major cities queue you for BG's. just like it was in vanilla wow.
