i like the idea of 2 diffent servers who stop progressing at the final tier raid of their expansion.

BUT

some kind of "chracter copy" would be nice, so u can "copy" your vanila char including gear and PvP ranks (excluding gold) to the TBC server.

so you still have the feeling of "progressing" through both expansions with the same char.

Proposal : Let those who are on this server transfer characters to the TBC server after 1-3 months of that release. Problem solved.

A poll should be issued way after we're all sick of vanilla content ... until then it's way too early to even be considering this. For all we know the server could blow up tomorrow. Let's just.. relax and enjoy the vanilla ride. ;)

Yes because let's force players who are here for vanilla into playing TBC because you don't think people want to level when there's already a lot of high levels....

I like the idea of a separate server with a character copy function (copies everything over). This means if you get the urge to go do something in vanilla again, you can.

I mean, that's the whole reason we are playing on this server.

well if u talk about my idea i only ment vanilla ==> TBC, not TBC===>vanilla^^

it feels 10 time more awesome (and blizzlike^^) to walk though the dark portal as a well geared lvl 60, then a junk geared lvl 58.
it's so sad when the NPC at alerias hold greets me as "private" and not my proper pvp rank i earned on a vanilla server.

The people playing now might be bored of Vanilla when the TBC server comes, but what of the people who want to play Vanilla at that point? People come and go, people join at different times. Updating this server to TBC is a bad move.
