Haha :P

Understandable, hehe. If the "difficulty" is increased though I might feel compelled (depending on said difficulty) to go back to my healer routine that I've done in the past D: Both exciting and disappointing.. Then again, probably just playing Enhancement Shaman in vanilla is both exciting and disappointing, haha!

This is one way to look at it as well, actually. It is kind of taboo topic among some people who just want vanilla to be vanilla, and nothing else.
Personally.. As much as I love vanilla, if I had been a class designer back on vanilla retail, of course I would have balanced some things and talent trees differently. But.. that's an entirely 100% subjective thought process and decision.
I doubt that would ever be fiddled with on a private server striving for progressive blizzlike content.

But now I'm really curious to see what the devs think of this raid difficulty topic..

Personally I just play a Shaman because I love the playstyle. And Enhancement being the only melee side of it, I enjoy that one the most because I've always preferred the "in-your-face" style over ranged.

And then there's Windfury. Entirely based on RNG to do tons of damage and perhaps 1 shot clothies? Yes, please.
I'm a Pen&Paper RPG player ever since I was a kid, so I love my RNG based gameplay. :) - d100 system 4 life.
Even though my character might suck compared to what my pals are playing, all that matters is if I'm having fun.

I'll admit I gravitate to "underdog" and "try hard" classes when I just want to have fun. I strive and go to great lengths to actually make them work. That's why I've been focusing on Enhancement Shaman. At least if the stars aligned I believe it's very possible to pull close to 800 DPS. Ridiculously gear dependent class, but I think that'd be a great sense of fulfillment.

There was a Enhance Shaman a while back on Feenix that was pulling 600ish DPS on Patchwerk, so that kind of got me going. However, I don't really play DPS classes. Ever. In any kind of MMO. I enjoy support, but I figured I was going to change things up a bit.

Difficulty though gets me going. If it's "tougher" then it just might be the thing that directs me towards playing where I belong, haha.

It's just a marker and isn't indicative of every fight.

also a new addition to this thread more regarding the timeline..

i know not much players have ever fought for the black qiraji mount.
will the complete questline be available up to and including the world event to open the AQ gates.
it is by far the harderst quest line ever in the history of WOW, and even blue posters indicated they will never ever again make a new questline that involves so much work.
(if you can do the quest line, dont skip it it's awesome!)

and yes i did read about the story line and the war effort will be available as far as i could see :)
