And if we are at this point, we should have some kind of teleporting tool which brings us to the instances. Or wait! What if we would have a match making system, which forms groups to instances automatically? I mean who wants to talk with people to form a group? Or have some small chat while travelling to the dungeon? Have the feeling that he/she is in a big ass world with actual distances between places? It's not like we want to play with an MMO, right?
But wait! (Wow, this topic inspired me so much!) We all know how much pain it is to be a part of a raiding guild, right? Attending raid hours, establish a good relationship with the team. So why don't we have a system, which forms raids for us? Like the system for dungeons? But wait! An actual raid is hard, isn't it? Getting consumables, gear, knowledge about the fight. So they should lower the difficulty of these raids for at least these kind of raid groups.
But wait! If all we want is raiding, why don't they make this an instant 60 server? I mean, who are we trying to fool here? No one is here to have a solid 1-60 experience in an actually working enviorment.
But wait! (Oh, my god, my mind is on steroids!) What do we raid for? Teamplay? Challenge? Nah. We raid for the loot! For purple stuff! So why don't we give it to everybody? So we don't have to waste our time with gearing, travelling, questing, learning, practicing etc. You know, with gameplay which comes with an MMO.
So, my additions to the topic:
- Let the server be instant 60.
- Let those instant 60 characters have end game BIS items.
So we can end the game even before it even starts, so we can go play with kittens, swim in a pool, or just simply go outside.
Do you not understand that the only reason for the suggestion is due to possible population issues? If you ever joined a low population server on retail, low level bgs only ever happened so twink guilds could fight each other. 30-39 and 40-49 BGs practically never happened because people who made twinks couldn't be bothered to level them that high, and even if they did they'd have no one to play with.
I started on a low population server and restarted on a larger one because I wanted to be able to take it slow and do BGs as I leveled, rather than rush to max level so I could unlock the right to finally have fun.
The fact of the matter is that if the population here ends up being small enough that it fits into what would have been considered a small server back in Vanilla retail, then (with the exception of the early rush) there will be essentially zero low level BGs without some built in way of encouraging it. If turns out that the population is that small, I pray that the devs have the vision to see that letting players have the ability to do low level BGs is more "blizzlike" than your narrow, superficial idea of it is.
I hate the path that WoW has taken since WotLK too, I wouldn't be here if I didn't, but that doesn't mean that I am automatically resistant to all change that smells a bit like it without any thought.
