If Nos ever felt the need to open a second server, they could try PvE since I don't think it's been done before.

I think too many would go there rather than struggle on a PvP realm though, hence why so many against it. World bosses would be...interesting, world pvp would be organised and the rest conducted through BGs, nodes wouldn't be contested through pvp but through sniping. And I bet it'd be predominantly Alliance...

A lot of interesting possibilities and while I'd stay on the PvP realm, PvE realm would be a good consideration if the original server gets too crowded or too many people quitting.

Seriously, your appeals fall on deaf ears. You falsely assume there is no malice, just oversight. You are wrong. World PVPers are, by and large, the middle ground of PVP. They are simply not good enough to be major players in a BG. If they were... they would be in BGs where the challenge is. No, they are just the crap sticks who want to think of themselves as something other than also-rans. World PVP has always revolved around ganking... around fighting against those with NO hope of defending themselves, because the point is WINNING. Most of their kills are honorless. The best they can hope for is occasionally get credit for a green. But, as long as they can sit alone in a basement and speak out loud to no one how they just crushed that guy... well the fact that he was 30 levels grey doesn't mean as much. People with no interest in PVP are the best targets. Chances are, they aren't very good at it. They are almost never ready for it. Those are the people that give you both wins, and honor. You can't just let those juicy targets walk away.


Private server are all PVP servers because the devs figure even if they cant get anything else to work, at least the players can fight each other instead of bothering them. It also provides a convenient answer for most personal disputes and grievances. Really, PVE servers just take more work.


But I do love the lore psuedo excuse. The Vanilla through Lich King expansions take place during a Cold War phase between the WC3 and Cataclysm storyline. Your role as a world PVPer is less soldier and more school shooter... but whatever makes you sleep at night.

That actually does seem to be the trend - faction imbalance is a lot more pronounced on PVP servers. It appears that Horde will predominate on this server, but I've seen Alliance in the same position on other PVP servers. And that's fine, I'm able to level on Nost playing Horde as well, though it's a shame I won't be doing Jailbreak and other classic Alliance quests.

Anyway, it's clear from the numerous spelling mistakes as well as the school-yard bursts of temper that most of the PVP advocates in these forums are not old enough to have actually played real vanilla WoW. When they equate PVP servers with "the real vanilla experience", they're simply revealing that their knowledge of vanilla comes from 10 year old YouTube videos of some kid ganking lower levels set to old metal songs.

I can make the assumption that you do not like battlegrounds. One would ask, what is not to like? You have an equal number of opponents, prepared and equiped, and you can fully prove yourself the best as a victor. They even have objectives... a critical element for those that have projected upon themselves either the "military angle", or a link to the RTS.

Face it. The only part you like is winning. The people in the battleground won't let you... with their equal numbers and PVP focus. Some of those people even know what they are doing. They keep killing you. Do they not know you are "Stupid Drug Reference Name You Think Is Clever", God of the Internet? Clearly, they cheat.


No, what you really need is a more open world. Maybe, someone who is already fighting a mob. Attack from Stealth... always a good choice.... yeah, this is coming together. Stun, Stun, Stun. Yes, yes, I am pwning this noob... look at him get all fumble fingers... and DEAD! I AM A GOD!!!

Why do the pro-PvP players feel the need to insult PvE players to get their point across?

The only difference between a PvE realm and a PvP realm is that players don't HAVE to wPvP on a PvE realm. Those that want to wPvP can walk around flagged all the time.

It seems to me that the only reason people are anti-PvE is that they can't gank players. I can't see any other reason to be so against PvE realms.

They fixed the way honor is given out. High level gankers get nothing out of griefing lowbies they're completely wasting their time. So I just do the same thing I did on Live back in the day, I log my main out in the same zone that my alt is questing in and when some fag ganks me I immediately switch over to my main and return to the scene of the crime. You'd be surprised how many stay around the same location or how many times I caught one running down the road as my main is running back to my alts corpse. After that I just proceed to camp them for a few hours while I watch Netflix and eat Stouffer's Bistro's. Mmm.

Well have fun on our Horde only pvp server what is so hard for people to understand here.

When there are now alliance left except low new people then you will no longer have a pvp server and eventually the server will die. If you just want a server full of a bunch of horde whats the point. Will be a cold day in hell before one of those ugly ass character models ever shows its face on my character selection screen
