Flag yourself for pvp, which is immediate, gank whoever is near you, then unflag yourself so by the time they run back to their corpse, rez, maybe get backup (if you're a higher level than them) and they can't touch you because you are in the zone of immunity. It's absolute BS that even exists in retail and I'm glad it does not exist on Nostalrius.
Seriously I don't understand why you are pushing this issue so much. Nostalrius is a pvp server, end of discussion. This is not a valid suggestion. You are single-handedly trying to complicate an entire project because you don't like its most fundamental aspect. This is as bad as people suggesting increased experience for leveling. Go somewhere else.
I'm finding that I actually don't mind the WPVP aspect. Which is great for me, because whether this change were made or not, it doesn't affect me too much as I'm having fun either way.
In any case, the beauty of the internet is that we can discuss all kinds of things, and if we don't care for the discussion, we can just avoid it. Or we can torture ourselves and get all up-tight and angry and tell others to stop making those posts... instead of just ignoring them. Personally, I have no problem discussing things for which I'm not in favor. It helps me see things from a different perspective. And if it's a topic I don't care to discuss, I skip that thread.
It's a very valid suggestion, by the way. Whether it were a full PVE server (which is NOT what I'd ask for), or somewhere in between how PVE and PVP servers worked. For example, let's say when you flagged PvP, it wasn't instant. What if it took 5+ minutes to kick in. And flagging PVE took 60 minutes to kick in. Let's say you were only allowed X amount of PvE hours in a 24-hour period. This is a PVP server, and if any rules like this were implemented, I for one would like them to lean well toward keeping WPVP as fun and commonplace as possible. But at the same time, if someone wants to keep it PVE for themselves without fear of getting ganked while minding their own business, I'd like to see some options for them. (You guys need to start thinking outside of the box, btw. Soooooo many people on this forum lack critical-thinking/problem-solving skills.)
That really shouldn't be a problem since so many people on this forum are balls-to-the-wall sure that PVP'ers make up the VAST majority of players on this server, right? What is the ratio, 100:1 in favor of PVP? The couple hundred players that constitute the right side of that number shouldn't be an issue, should it?
