Zero honor reward for killing 48-55 by 60

As you might see, there are many topics and discussions about the situation, when 60lvls instead of doing BG just farm lowlevels and receive same honor as farming equal level. This situation has great impact on internal mechanic of game, because

1. Easy honor
2. Prevent powerleveling, and that is very important for balancing pvp in BGs

So, to resolve this issue I propose make temporary patch: zeroing honor reward for killing lowlevels (48-55) by 60 levels. Maybe in a more radical form - 48-59. Of course, if the fight is made by equal levels - honor should be given.

Add Lich King, he'll patrol and fly over maps on Sindragosa and kill gankers.

Uhhh ur a noob cause the lich king boss dident come out till MoP 2012 so it wouldent be real Catanilla.

I said 2 levels for 60 players. But actually I agree with you on the general idea, let's set it 0 level for 60 players.

So a level 59 may receive honor from killing you (lvl 60), but you cannot receive honor from someone 1 level under. If you're adding variables while modifying the current one, you're changing the PvP system in more ways than 1 here.

Modifying the current level range restricts the honor gains when you're unfairly farming flight paths, but it won't stop this entirely. Adding another variable where one person may receive honor from a kill, but the other person may not receive any honor will piss a couple thousand people off. Adding variables and modifying the current level range instead of just modifying the level range will add more problems than the one you just solved.

My suggestion here is extremely unblizzlike, but I have to say "it werks" and hope it doesn't get implemented. You receive an honorless target buff that dispells upon movement and character pivoting. This is applied when entering/leaving a zone through a spell, flight, zeppelin, instance portal, and by any other means that isn't traveling by foot/mount. This requires changing the honorless target buff mechanics. I don't endorse this suggestion by any means, but it leaves room for ideas.

A single person cannot create a consensus over the (average) 5499 other players that play at the same time as you. It may be one level from 60, but adding another variable allows potential for abuse. A lot of people will twink out at 59 to abuse this and give every level 60 the middle finger because this suggestion makes 50-59 bracket worlds apart from the level 60 bracket in the battlegrounds.


I covered every point you made in another thread. There needs to be some exception to these like if a lower level player attacks a level 60, the level 60 will gain honor from killing the instigator.

Adding exceptions to the honor system is basically reworking it and breaks the Blizzlike system. My idea (bold paragraph) doesn't rework the honor system and it allows for safe traveling from the people who aren't grinding honor fairly or as intensive as other PvPers.

Ye, there's a lot of things suggested already, but in the end i think that it will stay like this since PvP server = everything is allowed.
After the campaign that was made for this server, i honestly expected something better but as usual i am again left with big chunk of disappointment because like all others this server lacks interest by the staff to make this enjoyable for the people that just want to lvl and get to the real stuff.

If I was into conspiracies, i might have thought that this goes in their favor because the slower the people lvl, the slower will be progression in PvE content aka less demand for release of new instances. This was done before and it's not unknown to private server owners so in the end, it wouldn't surprise me if it's gonna be the case here also.
