Dunno about happily. People are addicted and once you get to 50+ you aren't just gonna give up that easily.
I think the situation is quite out of hand and limits people to doing instances only at 50+ (which I would do and have always done anyway at this point so it doesn't bother me) and I don't really know a good solution for this problem anyway. The admins want this blizzlike, and solutions would make it nonblizzlike.
Maybe AV would help, but I think it wouldn't. Horde can't get in there except after prolonged waiting, and they can only go kill leveling 48 level players which give them quite OK honor and absolutely no risk of dying, even if you face 5 of them at once, since their spells are always resisted.
The only thing I can easily think of that the admins can and should do is to turn off the hit penalty for PvP combat like it was in retail Vanilla (+1% resist per level, not 11% for orange and above targets like here). The current situation is not blizzlike and it sucks for the levelers and it sucks for this server.
