Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

As of now the scorge stones are free for all loot apart from the green ones that only drop from bosses.
This makes everyone to loot asap to get the stones and some (mostly healers & ranged dps) nearly never get any.
Putting these stones into the group loot table instead of having them free for all, what do others think about this?

Or is it not possible to script this beocuse the stones is only lootable from ppl that have the trinket active? (works for the boss stones, apart from when only 1/5 players have trinket on, then no one gets it unless you turn loot to ffa then the guy with trinket can loot it)

There is a method of rolling on these. If you wish to have the group roll on the scourgestones along with all other common (white) loot, have the party on Group Loot and type:

All common items will be rolled on. If you wish to set it back to uncommon, rare, or epic items, right click your character's portrait and hover over the 2nd option (loot type of the party) and select uncommon (default) or any as you please.

Having common items rolled for is just a trade off for rolling for the scourgestones and I would suggest asking the party if they would like to roll on scourgestones and all common items to be a bit friendly and have a fair chance on gathering the AD rep. Setting the value to 0 will have all items rolled for in case you attempt this. All loot greater than and equal to the loot threshold will be rolled for as well.

Also, if i understod it correct - 0=gray items 1=white 2=green 3=blue 4=epics? (if a lower number is choisen all the next ones is still within the rolling rule?)

You're correct. Everything that is >= the number is rolled for by the entire party. This loot method (group loot, default) may differ based on other loot methods. After 10+ years, I still haven't learned Round Robin and the other ones.

Also: 5 for Legendary and 6 for Aritfact (none in the game).

Well, this happens with quest items when in dungeons or open world as well. If group loot is on me for the mob, and a quest item is on it, everyone can pick up the item. I don't recall this ever happening on retail. Then again, I started playing in 1.11. It could have been before this time that the quest items were added in the group loot round robin. Below is how it should work a quote from wowwiki. It also explains the items being FFA is the mechanic going haywire.

FYI round robin may be the best choice and then switch to group loot for bosses. Only issue with is is the trust with other group members in case a rare or epic boe drops on trash, as round robin would make it the looter's loot.

Group loot doesn't work for quest items and scourge stones. Those items turn to FFA unless they are above the loot threshold.
