Way to Change Character Appearance

Hi there! I know it isn't something that wasn't actually in vanilla, but maybe there is any possibility you would allow us to change the way our characters look after the initial character creation screen? (Hair style and the like) This is one of the changes that were added later on that did nothing but improve the quality of the game overall, and would be an amazing edition to have here, even if it worked on a vote point type system like some other private servers use.

hi,
at this moment we have tons of ways to change the way your character looks.
(no change in haircut unfortunately)
but changing the helm, chest armor, bracers, pants and even weapons will change the look and feel of your character!

at this moment there is no way to change the appearance of your character and there are no plans to change this in the (near) future.

How on earth an Orc is supposed to go from dark green to light green? Dying his skin? How can a tauren get from spotted to plain black? Melanindysfunction? Seriously. Get a character, make it look awesome for your taste and stick with it.
It didn't improve the game in my opinion, it made it worse. You can't change everything once you started playing. And that is a good thing.

How did it "make the gameplay worse" LOL

If they want to keep it vanilla and not allow you to change it, that's fine. But it's not a good thing. It's an archaic game design from ten years ago. Grow up, the industry and the rest of us have.

Maybe you want to consider this in the future, I bet many people will use this gladly. Better than losing people mad about their characters appearance.

ROFL

Unless you bought your account, you're the one who decided what your character's appearance was going to be.

Don't care. Character is fine on creation for me. Stop being a spastic autistic plebiscite for "muh change!".

I don't think it necessarily made the gameplay worse, since it was strictly a cosmetic change. However it could be argued that it lowered the overall value players put into the game. It's one of those personal decisions that one should put a considerable amount of thought and effort into. When that thought and effort is removed because one can simply change it repeatedly on a whim with little or no drawback, the inherent value of it is lowered. It's a similar concept with all the suggestions involving respeccing: lowering the cost or simply making it free; i.e.: "Why bother putting thought and effort into choosing my talents when I can just reset them whenever I want?"

Less to do with lazy and more to do with emulating the vanilla experience as much as possible. If it didn't exist in vanilla, there's a good chance it won't exist here. That's not to say exceptions can't be made, but one shouldn't expect something to be implemented just because "It's a good idea." If it gives the perception of being lazy, that's simply after the fact.

Why would someone "get mad" with their character's appearance? Unless if you were completely uninvolved with your character's creation (E.g.: Sharing, gifted, or buying accounts, etc.), you have total control over how they look. The only exception I can think of is as you level up and reach end game, you decide you don't like how your character looks with the gear you've acquired, in which case, that goes back to what I was saying about putting thought and effort into creating your character; they will be what you stick with from level 1 all the way to 60 so ensure it's something you can see yourself enjoying.
