Enable forum avatars

Why is this feature disabled? Obviously you guys thought it was an important enough feature to sticky a thread about preserving the old Blizzard avatars

If this was done to hinder the posting of offensive material, why are signatures still allowed? Personally, I like to disable signatures and enable avatars on every forum I visit because signatures quickly become a pissing contest with people making the largest signatures possible.

I don't think it's a bug. Probably has something to do with when this forum was first created, users who registered early were able to configure their avatars and at some point the feature was disabled; those that set them up got to keep them and those that didn't or those of us who registered after the feature was disabled are SOL.

I didn't even notice since I disabled both avatars and signatures, but yeah just checked now and it won't let me set an avatar. Currently disabled. Meh not a big deal in my opinion.

All of a sudden, avatar functionality is enabled on my account. I noticed it earlier this week when I reached 200 active posts. Not sure if it's a change the staff did or if your account just has to exist for so long or have so many posts.
