Ok guys lets face it, Blizzard was not so smart when they set spec respec to 50g once u respec a few times, thats why Dual talent specialization was later introduced and everyone greeted it Warmly! u can switch between PVE and PVP spec in matter of seconds. What we have here is crippled Community of PVP/PVE players who cant really afford respeccing for Guild raids and then going back to pvp spec by paying insane sum of 50g, and 50g is ALOT in vanilla.
- If you just set reset gold cap to at 20ish gold u would have much happier players, Its really hard PVE-ing in pvp spec and not doing so good when u cant really afford to pay huge sum of 50g just to change few talents, and its hard aswell to PVP with PVE spec, and its annoying as hell and frustrating.
what am i suggesting wont make people leave server just cuz of lower gold cost on talent respec, ppl need to reason the fuk up and realise no one will ever achieve 100% blizzlike status, no matter how good your Developers are, you are never getting there, i am not saying you guys are not doing your job well, but its different for blizzard when they have hundreds of employees while u are 16 guys or so.
and ppl need to shut the fuk up with that blizzlike bullsht, "omg not blizzlike"
Just fuking think about it both PVE and PVP Community gona LIVEN THE FUK UP so GOOOOOOD, JUST THINK, USE BRAIN

Vanilla is about making choices. Deal with it or go play retail.

Simple argument:

Classic WoW was about compromise and diversity of classes and abilities.

If you wanted a spec that performs well in a pve setting, you go with that spec. If you wanted a pvp spec, you go with that one. No player should have the optimum spec all the time in all situations, because then every player would be the same more or less (when it comes to classes).

If 5g respecs came about, every battleground would be soul link warlocks, deep frost mages, cb/prep rogues, etc. there would be zero diversity. Private servers have a reputation of having many tryhards/min maxers, and if the barrier to change was so low, you'd see people flaming each other constantly over their spec choice ("wow another fucking prot warrior, can't you fucking respec?")

With respec costs as is, we see multiple different specs from all classes in BGs, which adds more diversity to a game that has become, in today's standards, increasingly homogenized (which is bad in my opinion, you're entitled to think otherwise)

Just fuking think about it both PVE and PVP Community

Pvp community sticks with pvp spec and pve sticks with pve spec. hello?

But yeah im on respec cap already, speccing twice a week for pvp and raiding. i dont really see problem here, blizzlike and deal with it

Or like I said, make an alt :P That benefits everyone, lowbies have more people to group with, more low-mid level mats come into existence. It drives the economy.

The problem with making an alt is that the alt will be the one to raid, not the main, and all the best gear is in PvE, so if you want to be a hardcore PvPer, you need those badass gear (at the very least weapons) from raids, because there isn't a good alternative in PvP alone, so you would have to respect to PvE, go do raids to get the gear you want, then respect back to PvP. If you create an alt, you can't just send your main toon all the boe gear from your alt that you got while raiding.

But with all that said, I completely agree about compromises. If anything, I'd have LOVED for there to be a way to restrict players to one faction (alliance or horde) to bring back that hate. Hate is generally bad, but in WoW, that's what was fun, you genuinely HATED the opposite faction and you made a list... a "to be camped" list of people who wronged you so that if you ever come across them on your higher level character, you showed no mercy.
