Higher respawn rate, Quest items lootable for party and more

Hey guys, I leave you my suggestions to address problems/improve the server.
1. Increase the mobs re-spawn rate. I'm aware that there is a system intended to increase this according to the players in the area, but it's just not enough.
2. Quest items lootable for the entire party. Instead of only 1 person being able to loot a quest item from the mob, allow everyone in that party to do it. Like in the most recent expansions of WoW, the same mob can satisfy 2+ players at a time.
3. Increase rates. Everyone gonna hate me for this. I find the leveling a bit slow especially when I already capped 1 million characters. Doing the same quests over and over again is tedious.
4. Don't create more realms. I'd be really happy if you addressed the issues of this one instead of creating a new. Seeing a shit ton of players makes the impression that the server really is alive, easier to do dungeons and just makes the overall gameplay much more fun.
5. Wild chat. Ok so, No complains here so far, but from what i've read on public chats, part of this community isn't so friendly and certainly doesn't resemble me of a vanilla one.
6. Add a GM chat. Ticket system is disgusting. If we had a GM chat where we could expose our problems or ask questions would be a much more pleasant experience. I know of servers that have done it and works really well.

1. Increase the mobs re-spawn rate. it's fine as it is. Group up if you dont have enough patience for the respawn. You know, interaction is allowed! ;)
2. Quest items lootable for the entire party. Not blizz-like.
3. Increase rates. Unbalances things & Not blizz-like.
4. Don't create more realms. Agreed.
5. Wild chat. It's okay. If you find the chat offensive, just leave it.
6. Add a GM chat. Agreed.

Your answer to OPs first comment is contradictory to your answer to the second one.

It would be fine to group up. If more than one person could loot the same quest item. Worrying about who is going to loot a quest item is actually keeping people AWAY from grouping with others.

OR... you could just stop being a dick and help eachother out until both are done.

what about setting the loot threshold to 1 while in group loot (1 = 'white quality" items) ?

Code: Select all
/script SetLootThreshold(1);

I don't think it's keeping people away from grouping with others, but there are some areas where it's a bit aggravating because groups are competing with other groups for quest items, so it ends up being a competition among competition.

Westbrook Garrison comes to mind where you have to loot eight painted armbands from the gnolls which already have a ridiculously low drop rate. Every time I've done that quest I've grouped up with three to four other players and there's always two or three groups, if not more, also doing the same quest and everyone's running around tagging as many mobs as they can and the entire group zerg rushes in to Shift+click the corpse.

1. The dynamic respawn algorithms could certainly use tweaking.
2. Annoying, but Blizzlike. Don't like it? Quest alone.
3. Fuck no.
4. Yes.
5. Yes.
6. Sure.
