Blizzlike Looting ?

Hi team,
This has been bugging me for a while, but I haven't spoken up about it before, because I don't actually remember if it used to be this way.
What way? You know when you're grinding and half of the mobs drop nothing at all. Not even gold.
Is that (vanilla)blizzlike? If it is, fine, leave it as it is.
If it's not blizzlike, then could we please fix it?
Dots and dots of love,
Thefilth

As it turns out, most mobs have loot. Unless your pet gets the last hit, then there's no loot.
It's just a bug.
Easily reproduced. Get any mob to low health, send your pet in to finish it off. No loot.

True. Been wondering why i get so much empty kills on my hunter and here you are. Sure, if your pet finishes off a mob with one or two hits then obviously you'd get no loot, but the last hit on your target... It's like if your pet ninja kills your game!

I was wondering why I was so unlucky with drops... Finally found out why. It's because I effectively eliminate my dropchance by having my pet attacking.

Gryah!
Are you telling me I spent four hours doing that damn Salty Scorpid Venom quest in Thousand Needles and the reason why half of the scorpions dropped no loot was because my minion got the final hit while attacking?
I'm so angry, I want to punch a dolphin.

(no dolphins were harmed in the making of this reply)Also, can someone link a bugtracker artifact on this or have video proof of it? I don't have a hunter, but I'm wondering if this is produced on every pet. All I have is the dog whistle from SM Lib to test this out on.

I do have this problem as a warrior, too.
At least it feels like a loot of mobs don't have loot. Didn't count it by now. Is there a bug?

No no, that quest just has a horrible drop rate on the quest item. Took me roughly 10 hours to complete over a course of two days... It was horrible. And no I don't play hunter

I remember the one quest that got me to stop playing WoW for a year or more, it was back in Vanilla and it was that Warlock quest at 29-30 or so. It was the one involving the robe, the pattern dropped in one or two alliance/contested areas and I spent 50 or so hours total trying to farm for the drop before I got fed up and left.
It wasn't even a good quest reward either.
