Hey Nostalrius peeps,

I rarely post on any forums but the amount of disconnects I experience while playing on this server has brought me to do so. My suggestion would be that the staff at Nostalrius drop absolutely everything and work on keeping the disconnects to a minimum- before players start taking off. I believe that the number one priority for Nostalrius should be preventing any issues which might turn into memes and jokes related to the server in order to maintain a positive image. The amount of disconnects we experience is unacceptable, and others are beginning to feel the same way; here is a copy paste of a few recent posts on the /vg/ Nostalrius general:

Your shitty 600 dollar botnet probably didn't even make cloudflare flinch, Nain/OGcuck.

Nostalrius average uptime: 30 minutes
Kronos average uptime: 2 days

This issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible- before Nostalrius becomes just another private server. If its a matter of hardware, perhaps I could suggest that the staff admit that they weren't expecting to support such a massive amount of players- and in turn, ask them for help upgrading in the form of donations (but do NOT offer any ingame incentives).

Please bump, repost, or let me and the staff of Nostalrius know how you feel about this by replying to this thread.

Thanks for reading guys.

Apparently a minor workaround that I've heard of is trading 1 copper to another person after an important event, which supposedly makes the server save your character. At least this way you don't loose your new epic item...

I do agree with you that server instability could end up being a raid killer. Imagine being about to take out the new raid boss that your guild has been struggling to take down and suddenly: Server Crash. I'd be pissed.

I understand that this is a free server and as such we are not entitled to come with any demands, but we should be allowed to voice our concern and my concern is that the instability will eventually cost this server a lot of players. I honestly don't know what is causing this instability, but if it is the overcrowding then I suggest splitting the servers up to multiple servers, possibly with a PvE server among them.
