It would be highly advisable and warmly welcomed if you could include a way for people to change their characters names either for a sum of gold in-game or through donations/voting on the website. People who grow tired or start to hate their characters name has to either deal with this pain or re-roll, and re-rolling isn't always an option for most high-level characters.

Solution: Dont make character with stupid name that you dont enjoy. But renaming char aint coming to server its been said already. And yes there was char rename in late vanilla, that was only blizzards way to milk more money from customers. and it was pretty much salvation for ninjas/known scammers who had ruined their reputation on server and didnt want to migrate another server.

I think this is a horrible idea..

What happens when you give people the ability to change their names?

They ninja, act like fools, troll, be abusive, hateful, racist..

Let them ruin their name.. They can just get a new one..

No.. make them suffer.. make them be held accountable for the their actions.. no clean slates.

I actually thought a lot about this. In spirit, I wouldn't mind the option, but the problem is the abuse by fx. ninjas that could in effect get a "fresh start" after they are done ninjaing.
Now... If it could be implemented in a way where the player could still be identified after a character name change then I wouldn't mind. Problem is, I also want to be able to go on forums and see lists of names that other people have gathered of ninjas, so that I can avoid them aswell, so I think implementing it the right way is going to be difficult (I could be wrong, I know little about programming).

So in conclusion from my point of view: Yes in spirit, No in practice
