Where do you draw the line? The population just hit 9K+ today. What will it take for you to be okay with a second server?

Before considering a second server, I'd be very much in favour of imposing a 5k population cap on our current server. I was online earlier today when the population hit 9k - a milestone, yes, but overpopulation affects everybody. Needless to say, I'd much rather queue up than play on an overpopulated and unstable server.
A lot of people, quite understandably, want a PVE server. While I wouldn't play on it personally because I prefer PVP, I'd be completely in favour of opening one for those who prefer it.

Please DONT DO IT .
Vanilla is all about players ... increase respawn rates or improve the hardware of the server but DONT SPLIT THE COMMUNITY

Do people not understand that even blizzard servers never had such a high population at once?
The few times it did servers went to shit. I.E oppening of an ahn'qiraj.

PLEASE DON'T OPEN A SECOND SERVER! I LOVE THE LAG AND WANT IT TO CRASH HARD WHEN AQ OPENS!!!!
