Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

This is nonsense. WE GET IT! Nostalrius is #1, but stop pretending to be molten wow or whatever and put in a queue! Even a 500 player queue would be a godsend.

Overcrowding is becoming a real problem. It is completely un-Blizzlike to be allowing such an inflated population on the server. Not only does the bloated population cause the server to become laggy and unreliable, but it has gameplay consequences as well. There are good reasons that Blizzard servers had a population cap of 2.5k. Overpopulation hurts the economy and causes all sorts of other nightmares.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I'd rather queue up than play on an unstable server. We desperately need a population cap of 4k, maybe 5k at most. This is a problem that affects everybody.

Yes, yes, but what happens when the server is constantly capped out which it would be with anything under 6k player cap? AFK timers would have to be significantly lower because people, especially 60 neckbeards, like to bank-sit like its 1999 and the rest of us who work all day and come home to play are fighting to log on.

I don't want a queue. I'd rather have laggy and over populated than not play at all.

Lowering the AFK timer might be a good idea too. I think it would be possible to find a good balance between population cap and booting AFK players.

Do you even know what a queue is? The whole point of implementing a queue is that you'll get to play, and not experience lag/overpopulation. It's a win-win. The only trade-off is that you'll have to wait a few minutes or so for a spot to open. An easy choice, if you ask me.

There's still not enough people to keep low level bgs running constantly.

Many Guilds will have trouble recruiting for 40 man raids.

More people means easier groups for instances.

More people means more opportunities to dodge premades at 60 and get more balanced battles for all.
There are many places to grind away from people.

We need more players to put the War in Warcraft.
How many times have we experienced only a glimpse of the War we joined for. A 2v1, 3-4 or at best a 7v8, all historically the smallest of skirmishes.
We came here for the real War.

This server is awesome because of its people. They are fulfilling the spirit of Massive Multiplayer Online Game.

Its been 10 years but wasn't the AFK timer always low, like 15 mins tops? I know its more like 30 on this server which is fine if you have no queue but if a queue is added and the timer is not lowered then you will try to log on and be greeted by 2k-3k waiting in line ahead of you. Like a couple hundred can fly by in a few minutes, but we won't ever be seeing that unless its like 2 in the morning, 2k+ could be much longer maybe 10 minutes or more, which I'm not down for.
