Since the devs have added a dynamic respawn rate to mobs to make leveling about as difficult as it was on retail, why not make this quest about the same difficulty as retail too?
As it is now, warlocks are camping in front of the vendor for days at a time (over 24 hours for me so far), logging in every 30 minutes or so to check for the stardust, and then logging back out to retain the 20-minute disguise buff you need to purchase the item. If this goes on much longer, I can see players missing out on a whole week's worth of gameplay before finally getting the opportunity to spend 150g for one item in a long, expensive quest chain. I'd like to be able to do dire maul soon, but I've wasted so much time waiting on this Xorothian Stardust that I don't want to leave now.
As far as I'm aware, Xorothian stardust shouldn't even be in limited supply in vanilla. Current respawn timer is 12 hours.
I'll make a bug report with it later if I can find supporting evidence
