Concerned about policing issues

by Neversummerdrew » Thu Jun 04, 2015 1:54 am

Dear Devs,

I am curious about policing (or the lack thereof) in Nostalrius. How are guilds with names like <Sapped Girls Cant Say No> and others equally as offensive allowed to exist? Is it because, as the developers, you just don't care and your philosophy is that everything will work itself out; let anarchy rule? Or are there simply not enough of you to police many of the offenses currently going on in the game that would never have been allowed by Blizzard?

If the latter, I can sympathize, be patient, and hope that these offenses will be addressed in the near future. If the former, I really would like to know, so that I can stop playing now. I really do not want to invest time and energy into a server/game that has - as its philosophy - a complacent attitude towards issues such as harassment, glorification of rape, bullying, and bigotry. Blizzard had terms and standards for conduct and artistic expression within the game which they actively policed to the betterment of the entire community. Will you do the same?

Please let me know.

Thank you,

I would like to know as well because There too many of them going around any chance that you devo can set up a forums for just to report names or even a ingame report fuction that can automatic create folder And telling us to use <name> to be put into for you guys to get these people not only ban but also a chance to change name because i feel offensive as well that these sad guild maker that refuse to create fun name rather then something about sex all the time. There even some character name that ive seen that is offensive. I saw one rogue that had a name like Irapegirl and this was in a pvp

You tumblrettes need to stop taking everything so seriously and be able to take a laugh.
And even if you don't like the joke, guess what, you can move on without spewing your shit everywhere. It's not like any of them are trying to rape you in /whisper

Are you that fucking rude in your day-to-day life, or just as an anonymous fuck on the Internet?

I'm sorry that you think that knocking out and raping a girl is funny. That makes you part of rape culture. The nest time you hear a joke like that, imagine that it's your mother or sister being sapped and unable to say no\. If you still think it's funny then you need some serious therapy.
